I've asked around various places but gotten no responce. Does anyone have a Jade Empire save with a female character in the Imperial City?

New computer (nicknamed THE BEAST) with Windows 7 and everything's shiny and fast and awesome.

Except.

My modem doesn't work and apparently isn't supported and doesn't work(it's very old). I suppose I need to get a wireless modem as a replacement but I'm not sure how to go about it.

*sigh*

ETA: Disregard that I have awesomed it into working.

Okay, just finished the game (turns out the completion percentage include ALL the origins, so I was actually further through the game than I thought, doh) and here's my reactions and whatnots. There will be no spoilers in this post, I'll do a spoiler post later detailing why I'd like to nail a certain character's head to a post.

The game is HUGE! I've clocked 35 hours so far and I'm only a third of the way through.

The characters are hilarious and awesome and there is plenty of banter, which is good because I always want MOAR BANTER. Leliana and my character had a five minute conversation about shoes. Shoes!

The combat is fun and nice and challenging, though I haven't bother using any the scripting stuff.

Dragon Age came, am installing it.

If I disappear from the internet for months, that's why.

It's November, and while I'm not "officially" doing Nanowrimo, I am attempting to get back on the writing x words everyday horse, cos I haven't really gotten anywhere with the novel since freaking July!

I also finally got round to getting the Star Wars prequels, only watched Episode I so far, but I didn't think it was that bad, in a braindead ooh shiny way. It could have used some more characterisation and a little less gungans, but on the other hand, George Lucas.

Just my favourite webcomics...

Death and the Maiden Long narrative humour comic about the Grim Reaper and an ordinary lady. Apparently the author has "re-launched" it.

The Adventures of Oglaf Humour comic, often sexual, NWS.

Order of the Stick Dungeons and Dragons stick figure humour comic.

Perry Bible Fellowship THE three panel comic, sadly no longer updating.

Pictures for Sad Children Strange little stick figure comic.

Questionable Content Starts off as a Indie Music comic, turns into a soap opera.

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal One panel joke comic.

Truck Bearing Kibble Three panel joke comic, seems to be no longer updating.

xkcd Stick figure comic involving nerdy things.

Given the trend of re-writing classics with supernatural elements (Pride and Prejudice with Zombies, Sense and Sensibility with Sea Monsters, neither which I have read yet, damn it), I wish someone would re-write Gone With the Wind with Vampires. It's very unlikely to happen as the book and characters are not yet in the public domain, which is why there's only a handful of "sequels" instead of umpteen million.

Someone on something awful pointed out that all you'd have to do is change the colour of the blood spatter and you'd be able to mode in bukkake.

I hate people (and having tea in my nose).

The character creator is out!

I'll put my character here when I've made it.

ETA: Okay, first things first you can't edit the character's last name, which seems to be based on race. I'm guessing this is voiced or something so that PC can be refered to as something other than "hey you"

You can make a woman bald, should you wish to.

There is a wide range of skintones, but you cannot make very dark hair.

A Taste of Blood Wine by Freda Warrington.

"1918. A First World War battlefield becomes the cosmic battleground for two vampires, as Karl von Wultendorf struggles to free himself from his domineering maker, Kristian.

1923. Charlotte Neville watches as her father, a Cambridge professor, fills Parkland Hall with guests for her sister Madeleine's 18th birthday party. Among them is his handsome new research assistant Karl - the man Madeleine has instantly decided will be her husband. Charlotte, shy and retiring, is happy to devote her life to her father and her dull fiance Henry - until she sees Karl ...

For Charlotte, it is the beginning of a deadly obsession that sunders her from her sisters, her father and even her dearest friend. As their feverish passion grows, Karl faces the dilemma he fears the most. Only by deserting Charlotte can his passion for her blood be conquered. Only by betraying her can he protect her from the terrifying attentions of Kristian - for Kristian has decided to teach Karl a lesson in power, by devouring Charlotte." - www.fredawarrington.com
