New computer (nicknamed THE BEAST) with Windows 7 and everything's shiny and fast and awesome.
Except.
My modem doesn't work and apparently isn't supported and doesn't work(it's very old). I suppose I need to get a wireless modem as a replacement but I'm not sure how to go about it.
*sigh*
ETA: Disregard that I have awesomed it into working.
Okay, just finished the game (turns out the completion percentage include ALL the origins, so I was actually further through the game than I thought, doh) and here's my reactions and whatnots. There will be no spoilers in this post, I'll do a spoiler post later detailing why I'd like to nail a certain character's head to a post.
The game is HUGE! I've clocked 35 hours so far and I'm only a third of the way through.
The characters are hilarious and awesome and there is plenty of banter, which is good because I always want MOAR BANTER. Leliana and my character had a five minute conversation about shoes. Shoes!
The combat is fun and nice and challenging, though I haven't bother using any the scripting stuff.
It's November, and while I'm not "officially" doing Nanowrimo, I am attempting to get back on the writing x words everyday horse, cos I haven't really gotten anywhere with the novel since freaking July!
I also finally got round to getting the Star Wars prequels, only watched Episode I so far, but I didn't think it was that bad, in a braindead ooh shiny way. It could have used some more characterisation and a little less gungans, but on the other hand, George Lucas.
Given the trend of re-writing classics with supernatural elements (Pride and Prejudice with Zombies, Sense and Sensibility with Sea Monsters, neither which I have read yet, damn it), I wish someone would re-write Gone With the Wind with Vampires. It's very unlikely to happen as the book and characters are not yet in the public domain, which is why there's only a handful of "sequels" instead of umpteen million.
Previously Wu and co. flew to the Imperial City and received an invitation to meet with Silk Fox. Now, Wu explores the capital of the Jade Empire and seeks to know more about her Master’s imprisonment. ( Read more... )
ETA: Okay, first things first you can't edit the character's last name, which seems to be based on race. I'm guessing this is voiced or something so that PC can be refered to as something other than "hey you"
You can make a woman bald, should you wish to.
There is a wide range of skintones, but you cannot make very dark hair.
Previously Wu and Zu stole a magical crystal thingie and used purple light to open a doorway to a Heaven, now they ascend that stairway and venture forth to meet the mystical entities therein. ( Read more... )
